Prof. Rolf Dornberger

Biography: Rolf Dornberger is a full professor at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, head of the Institute for Information Systems, and a member of the Management Board of the School of Business. He received his PhD in Air- and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, Germany, in the field of numerical methods. In addition, he was/is a guest lecturer at universities in Zurich and Stuttgart, and currently at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Basel, Switzerland. He worked in industry in various management positions as consultant, IT officer and researcher in different international engineering, technology, and IT companies in the energy, software, IT, and airline sectors. His current research and teaching interests include artificial intelligence, particularly nature-inspired computational intelligence methods, optimization, robotics, human-machine interaction, production and logistics, and innovation management.
